A presentation at DevRelCon London in in London, UK by Baruch Sadogursky
If you’re in DevRel, it might have been because someone noticed how passionate you are about technology and suggested that you take a role in growing and advocating for a community. Maybe they saw you in action getting other people excited about the technology (or some random crazy thing that you were really excited about that day!)
It’s great if your passion is infectious, but sometimes it can go sideways if you go overboard and stop paying attention to people’s reactions.
In this lightning talk, Baruch will demonstrate some less-than-ideal scenarios and show how to pause and apply leadership skills such as active listening, mirroring, reading body language, and checking in with emotions.
